Ayurvedic Village has taken the initiative to spread awareness about the Traditional Ayurvedic Treatments and therapies in Ayurveda through conducting medical camps all over the city. Recently to educate the people about the benefits of monsoon Ayurvedic treatments, we organized a free medical camp at our Sanpada centre in Navi Mumbai.
According to Ayurveda, the Malayalam month of Karkidaka is time for preventive therapies. During the monsoon season, people are more prone to diseases as the climate is very damp. Hence, this period has long been identified as the period for preventive treatments and rejuvenation therapies. It is also believed that our body is more receptive to Ayurveda medicines during the rains.
Known as Karkidaka Chikitsa, the monsoon treatment lasts for 7 or 14 days. As per Ayurveda, this season is the ideal time to flush out all impurities and to restore the tridoshas (Vatha, Pitha and Kapha) to balance state.
At the medical camp, our team of highly skilled doctors gave blood pressure and sugar level checkups to all along with Free consultation about the Ayurvedic treatments needed for their ailments. We also provided Karkidaka Kanji (medicated rice porridge) to the people. Karkidaka Kanji is a concoction of 40 herbs and is recommended for enchanting the metabolism. The herbs are boiled in coconut milk with a little salt, coconut and jaggery. Ideally it is eaten early morning or mid-evening.
Ayurvedic Village is striving hard to keep the discipline of Ayurveda alive. Our Ayurvedic programmes can help one achieve psychosomatic balance in every individual’s life based on his constitution.
